Sanctuary of the Genius of Augustus/Eumachia Building

The facade of the Sanctuary of the Genius of Augustus and the northern part of the Eumachia Building are one and the same construction. The bonding of the opus testaceum that belongs to both buildings is structural evidence that the two buildings are also linked temporally. My forthcoming article in AJA presents evidence for dating this construction to the post-62 period.
