NOTE ON METER STICKS

One or two meter sticks appear in many photographs; see, for example, no. 71. The shorter one, consisting of five alternating black-and-white 0.20 m. zones measures 1.00 m. The longer one is 2.00 m. in length: the two large black-and-white zones are 0.50 m. each; the five smaller zones measure 0.20 m. each.
